The cliffs seemed to go low then high,each giving a wonderful view of the ocean.But it was so lonely out here just by herself,and she didn't understand the reason why she was even here.One minute she was enjoying being with Fai,then the next she was brought here to this strange place surrounded by water.Exploring she had found what seemed to be a village with strange little creatures,it was all so confusing to her and she just wanted to go home or be by Fai's side.She had not been the only one to appear in a flash of white light on this planet,there we're many other's with her but she saw no familiar face among them.
"Chii wants to find Fai,I am so alone".
Finding a place to sit just a little close to the edge,she flopped herself down in a kneeling position her dress fanned out around her.Her brown eyes gazed up towards the sky as she tilted her head slightly,would anyone find her.......would Fai come find her.Chii didn't want to be alone,she wanted no one else but a friend she knew beside her.
Her gaze went from the sky towards over the cliff,gazing down below towards the ocean.She wondered if she could swim in that ocean,now she may not know that much and is often taught by Fai on things and places but this planet felt almost like earth.The way the sun gave off a warm pleasant feel,and the trees and animals noises could it be like earth.
"The ocean is so nice,Chii likes the sound of waves".

"You can't really be blaming me."
"Sure I can, you're the one who insisted that we go in that door."
"I didn't hear any arguments from you!"
The bickering voices sounded throughout the area, both raised in mild anger. The duo, consisting of a girl whose blond-brown hair was tied up in twin pigtails, and a boy whose snow-white hair was spiked upward, although it the humidity of the area had caused those spikes to become somewhat limp, a fact he was very unhappy with. They trudged through the foliage, both somewhat dirty and wearing scowls. The cliff, open away from the forest, was a nice reprieve, and Maka's scowl lifted as she took a deep breath of the pure air.
"Oi, Maka. Who's that?" Soul, the boy, said suddenly, his crimson eyes fixed on a figure at the edge of the cliff. It appeared to be a girl with long hair, looking as if she were enjoying herself. Maybe.
"I don't know, but maybe she can tell us where we are." Maka said, making a beeline for the other. As they both approached, Maka in the lead, she slowed, placing a calm smile on her face. "Hello there!" She called, greeting the other girl.

Turning her head slightly,and shifting her body abit she looked up to the new people who have come to join her.She simply blinked her brown eyes and tilted her head to the side,they didn't seem like the kind of people that would harm her and perhaps they we're just as lost as she was.Maybe they would know where she could find Fai,but then again these two we're strangers and Chii had not known any other people except Fai.She had been created to guard a pool,and without him by her side she still had alot to learn about the outside world and the people who lived in it.But this place was different,it was not like the planet or the dimension she had come from.
"Are you two nice,Chii could use some new friends".
Only once had she run into a strange monster,but she had managed to run away from it.Then her mind wandered back towards that strange little village,there had been many people with strange clothing walking around and wearing different outfits.Chii had caught abit of they're conversations,saying they had come from earth and just appeared on this strange planet they did not the know the name of.She may not know much,but she knew what fear was and what pain was.Blinking again she pointed up at the strangers,they're clothing was indeed different from hers.
"Are you lost too,I am lost as well".

Voices. Faint and distant, but voices none the less being carried on the breeze just up ahead. Xell began to tremble with excitement as he followed them. There were two from what he could tell. They sounded like they were bickering over something. Perhaps it was over something tastey. But there was no time for food right now, for the short green creature was being driven by his survival programming.
"Scout your surroundings." He muttered under his breath, relaying the basics in his artificial mind. "Keep quiet. Stay low. Examine all specimens from a distance to determine potential threats."
He didn't know how he had ended up in this strange, sunny place. It seemed like just a few hours ago he was mopping the floor of the doctor's laboratory in his dirty old uniform that he had been wearing since his creation some twenty years ago, wondering why Ophelia never wanted to play with him.
Suddenly, his tiny ears picked up a third voice addressing the two he had already been following. It sounded calm. Calm was good. Calm things didn't attack you. As Xell wander quietly through the foliage, he finally began to get a glimps of the people he had been following. They were in a clearing just a few feet up ahead, now speaking to a creature that appeared to by lying on the ground. The little green child frowned. He couldn't see much at ground level. He glanced to his side and spotted a fair-sized tree that he knew would definitely allow him to see over the bushes. With very little effort, he clawed his way up to the top and peered over the foliage at the three in the clearing.
"Three targets. They appeare to be human. Minimal threat."

Maka's smile didn't fade as the listened to the other girl's words, but she couldn't help but feel a stinging dissapointment. From the sound of it, this girl, this 'Chii', didn't know where they were anymore than she and Soul did.
"I like to think I'm pretty nice," Maka said, laughing lightly. She took a seat next to the other girl, although she was sure to keep some distance between them. "At any rate, its nice to meet you. Chii, was it? I'm Maka, and this is Soul." At the last words, she motioned in the white-haired boy's direction. Soul's crimson eyes glanced over, and he nodded slightly in his way of greeting. Then he turned away again, scanning the nearby forest. He had felt, just a moment ago, the smallest oddity. Almost as if there was someone else in the area, perhaps someone who was watching them. He couldn't see any immediate threat, however. "Is something wrong, Soul?" Maka asked, glancing up at the boy curiously. The other watched the nearby words for a moment more, and then shook his head.
"Nah, its nothing." Maka nodded slightly, and then looked back at Chii, the smile back on her face.
"To answer your question, yes, we are lost as well. Neither of us remember how we came to be here." She said. Soul sighed lightly, finally deciding to just ignore the feeling. He hadn't been feeling very well since they had arrived, as it was. More than likely, the feeling was just his paranoia catching up with him. Determined to chase the paranoia away, he took a seat next to Maka. After all, worrying too much wasn't cool.

"Maka.......and Soul".
She pointed to Maka then at Soul,making sure to get the names right that matched the faces.When she thought she had them pretty much right,she smile and closed her eyes.New friends she had new friends this was a good day indeed,opening her eyes she put a single finger to her lips.Looking over to Soul she tilted her head slightly to the side,was he searching for something or someone hidden among the trees or bushes and when Maka asked what was wrong he replied back to her that nothing was wrong.
Pushing herself off the ground,she brushed her dress off and listened.Almost as if she was trying to pick up on anything that was around them,her ears could pick up the slightest movement of anything or sound.She may have spent her time as a guardian over a dead body,but her ears we're not those of human they looked more like a mouse downwards or that of another creature.
"Chii hears nothing,but she wonders if you saw a big monster".

"Maka. Soul. Interesting names. I wish the doctor had given me an interesting name."
Xell payed no attention to the fact that two of the creatures below him had possibly somehow noticed his presence on some level. His brain was still in recon-mode. One of the many minor glitches in his biological make-up, he had a hard time shifting effectively between different high level brain patterns. Unlike a normal brain, which could react smoothly when in a crunch, Xell's artificially created brain didn't exactly work as well as that. Especially when the little mutant was under stress.
This was the first time that Xell had ever been outside the laboratory alone. Sure, he had occasionally wandered into the courtyard to chase butterflies and birds, but the courtyard was technically still within the confines of the doctors lab. Now, he was out in the open, in a strange world that he knew nothing about. He was now dealing with a feeling he rarely ever felt. Fear. And his programmed survival instincts could only last for so long before another glitch took effect.
"A big monster? That doesn't sound pleasant. I wish the doctor were here."
SNAP!!! Without warning, the branch Xell had been leaning on the whole time cracked and broke off under his tiny feet. The green child plummeted straight down, landing with a loud thud right in front of the two known as Maka and Soul.
"...Ouch..."

"Thats right." Maka said, smiling as the other girl repeated their names, almost as if she were trying to glue them into her memory. She watched quietly as the other girl suddenly stood up, and proceeded to listen to the area around them. It seemed as though Soul's assertion that it was nothing hadn't reassured the girl. Maka's eyes widened at the girls sudden mention of monsters.
"Are there monsters here?" She squeaked, her face turning pale. Sure, she had fought demons and the likes before, but still the idea of a 'monster' didn't exactly appeal to her. Just then, a sudden crack rent the air. As something landed in front of her and Soul, Maka let out a scream and jumped back. It took her a minute to realize that the thing in front of her, what she had taken for one of those 'monsters' Chii had mentioned, was actually quite small. And green. It appeared to be a green child. Maka blushed in embarassment at her reaction.
Soul, meanwhile, was sending a toothy grin her way. "Wow, Maka, didn't realize you had such a set of lungs." Maka scowled at him, proceeding to smack him in the back of the head.
"Shut up, Soul!" She turned away from him, instead fixing a look on the small green creature in front of them. "Who are you?" She asked, a little colder than she meant to. She couldn't help it, he had scared her!

Chii wasn't that close to the spot where the green person fell,but she had heard the snap of the branch as clear as a whistle.She was more or less behind Soul and Maka but peeked out from behind the two at the green child,no it was not the monster she had seen.This green child was different from the beast she had seen wandering around,it had been much bigger and much more ugly.The young girl knew better then to investigate a monster,besides what did she know about fighting it had never been taught to her.Oh but then did that mean she was going to be a bother,that she was going to just get in the way if a monster did attack.
"That is not the monster Chii saw,the one I saw was bigger".
Blinking once more she watched the way Maka and Soul reacted to eachother,was saying shut up to a person a way to make them be quiet.Chii then turned her attention back towards the creature or little green person that had fallen down,she had come out from behind Maka and Soul and was now kneeling with the balms of her feet up and her knees close to her chest.Her blonde hair falling over her shoulders,new things and faces we're a interest to her since she really hadn't got a chance to know anyone besides Fai.She pointed a finger towards the green person,then pointed it towards herself.
"What is your name,my name is Chii".

The fall sent a shock through Xell's body, and for a moment, he lay motionless, letting out a soft moan as his eyes rolled in their sockets. The shock to his system knocked him out of recon-mode, but it took a moment or two for him to realize what had happened. When he finally came to, he immediately skitter to a nearby bush and dove behind it, shivvering in fear.
"N-name? M-M-My name?" He asked, poking his head out slowly. "Er. It's.....u-um.....Xell."
Now that he was back to his normal self, Xell had no idea what to do. Without the doctor here to tell him what to do, he was lost. On top of that, he had very little social skills. Since his master had not intended for him to have to be used in simple social situations, he never bothered to downlaod any into Xell's brain. The fact that one had already introduced herself made Xell feel a little more comfortable, but since one of the others had addressed him in such a cold manner, that comforting feeling was almost completely kicked to the curb.
"P-P-P-Please don't hurt me! I didn't do anything wrong, I promise!"

Maka sighed lightly, rubbing the back of her neck in embarrassment. She had overreacted, and now the small creature seemed to be terrified of her. Or them. Whatever. As it was, now that her original shock was wearing off she was starting to feel mildly guilty. Whatever this creature was, it was hardly a monster. In fact, it had the appearance of a small boy, and a terrified on at that. Maka took a deep breath and then leaned down, her hand stretched out in a welcoming gesture.
"I'm sorry for yelling, Xell. You just startled me as all. You don't have to worry about us, we won't hurt you." She said kindly, a small smile on her face. Soul snorted lightly behind her, and she sent him a glare, warning him to keep his mouth shut. He bared his sharp teeth at her but acquiesced. Sometimes he really wondered about his Meister, she could sure be weird. One minute shes screaming her head off, the next shes trying to make friends with little green children. She had to be crazy, that was really the only explanation.

Xell recoiled instinctively at Maka when she stretched her hand towards him, but calmed down almost instantly. The child poked his head out of the bush, and then slowly scooted the rest of himself out. He didn't know what to make of these three strange people. They seemed alright. But the doctor always told him that looks could be deceiving. He leaned foreward cautiously and sniffed her hand. It seemed safe enough. Then, without warning, he licked it.
"You.....taste nice." Xell giggled, a wide smile curling across his small face.
