The setting? New York City. A wonderful place of excitment and action. At least for Daisuke Niwa that is. Daisuke was 14 when his life changed. He finally admitted his feelings toward the girl he liked her name was Risa Harada. On the very same day, later that night Daisuke found out a horrible truth. His family had a curse! Daisuke was to become PHANTOM THIEF DARK! A guy who for centuries stole art from the Hiwakari family. Now Daisuke has learned what it is like having another side to him. He has to face life as a normal teenager and as a art thief. With the help of his friends Daisuke just might make it out of this mess.....maybe. Though Daisuke is to forever have Dark trapped within him untill "the sacred madein" loves him back. But it gets even worse the sacred madien for Daisuke has fallen in love with Dark. And now Daisuke has gotten fellings for her twin sister Riku Harada. It gets even more confusing when Daisuke finds out his friend Satoshi is the one in charge of catching dark.
